Igloo Village Kakslauttanen Igloo Village located in the Saariselkä fell area, 300 kilometres above the Arctic Circle. Far away from city lights, the location is excellent for viewing the northern lights or aurora borealis, whenever they adorn the dark sky with their colourful waves. Igloo Village offers excellent opportunity to overstay night in traditional snow igloos or in unique glass igloos, where you can see the Northern Light through the glass roof. In an Ice Gallery, you can see ice sculptures made by artists around the world and even try ice or snow sculpting yourself. In the Ice Bar you can enjoy hot drinks and feast. There is also a Snow Chapel for weddings. Igloo Village is operating from Desember/ January until the end of April.
